Abstract

The international migrations represent a challenge for the European countries for being one of the factors that they contribute to the development of the economic and social well-being of the countries of reception, to become rejuvenated of your population and to the transformation of your societies. The immigration, besides, raises to these democratic societies another important challenge, of having systems of integration that guarantee the respect of the rights of the persons who receive. From middle of the eighties, Spain passed in a relatively unexpected way, of being a country of emigration to having a positive balance in the migratory flow (Izquierdo, 1996). Opposite to this immigrants’ avalanche that they try to bring over on the verge of Spain, the Spanish State organized by means of projects and programs destined to face to this process increasingly intensively. In the last years, the studies and the investigations have been intensified destined to the migratory flows proceeding from Romania, country that in the last two years increased in a considerable way his number of immigrants. This article proposes to present and to characterize aspects related to the Rumanians’ immigration in the Community of Madrid. From a qualitative and quantitative survey that we carried out in 2005, with the motive of the accomplishment of the project of Research ‘Immigration, formation and employment in the Community of Madrid’, we will present very brief the features social and demographics more typical of the above mentioned community, the labour aspects, emphasizing in the disruptions between the formation in the native land and the employment in the Community of Madrid, and the integration of the same one in the society of Madrid of reception.
