Abstract

In the past decade, Albania has launched a series of reforms aimed at improving health care system, which in its turn should be more comprehensively given public health situation and in general the quality of services within the health system, diagnostic and curative services that are organized on three levels:primary services, secondary and tertiary hospital services. Today, one of the most important indicators of the health system is the financing, which is one of the main challenges for the edification of a sustainable and comprehensive health. Aspects of health system of finances and funding sources, and the destination of these funding sources are analyzed in detail in this introductory study of the presentation of the health system in Albania. Are analyzed the indicators regarding the efficiency of the allocation of funds, through secondary analysis of quantitative data, with the goal of the implementation of social policies which comply with national targets and European Union for the inclusion of the population health insurance schemes and the development of a health system into a more comprehensive and rich service.
